Upcycled wood scraps were cut at random depths, widths and lengths to create amazing dimension in this piece.

I used a transparent paint technique for this piece, allowing for color variation to exist within each wood slice. Browns, grays, white and smokey bluish grays create an earthy color scheme, while still maintaining drama within this set.

Each panel is 12x36 with a 1.5 inch deep handmade frame that is built level with the backing, allowing the artwork to extend all the way to the edge for a modern look.
